There is something about weathered barn wood that connects with our souls. The wood was once brand spankin' shiney new, used to build a barn that would protect farm machinery, animals, and all things farming. This door led the way to life. Through the years, the barn has survived the challenges of time, remaining upright and sturdy. It's beauty is it's history. If you could peek through this barn window, you would see history. Three generations of the same family milked cows in this barn. Dairy farming was the family's livelihood and the land has been in this same family for nearly one hundred forty years. The cows are but a memory now, but the land is still used for growing crops. Just imagine the family stories this window could reveal.

This flourishing group of Black-Eyed Susans shows us freedom. Freedom to grow where we are planted. Freedom to gather and become beautiful with those around us. Freedom to invite others to join in with our happiness. Joy multiplied.
